Sanne Blauw (1986)

I'm the numeracy editor for De Correspondent and its sister platform The Correspondent. I write about all things quantitative, such as covid-19 statistics, artificial intelligence and forecasting. Sign up for my newsletter to stay up to date on my work (Dutch, English)

I'm also the author of The Number Bias. My book was a bestseller in the Netherlands and is now translated to more than ten languages, among others to Portugese, German and Italian.

I have a PhD in econometrics from the Erasmus School of Economics and the Tinbergen Institute. My dissertation 'Well-to-do or doing well? Empirical studies of wellbeing and development' was published in 2014.

I also worked as a trainee at the OECD Developmenr Center and I was a journalist-in-residence at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study.
